Every month I make a public blog post about my online earnings for that month. These income posts are never meant to be for bragging purposes. The true purpose of them is so that I can be completely transparent about what I make online, and so that years down the road I can show everyone my journey to wealth. Being completely transparent about what I earn online also allows me to show you my biggest mistakes, and what I have learned from the most. The more mistakes I have, the more I learn from, and the more I show you how to avoid. My monthly online income reports are a summary of where I made my money, and where I lost my money.

Looks like Google got around to updating their pagerank again, and my blog’s pagerank has increased from a 4 to a 5 which is pretty cool considering the gap from getting a 4 to a 5 is a heck of a lot larger than having a pagerank of 2 and moving it up to a 3.

As many of you have noticed, I have only had two blog posts in the last 11 days, one of which was a guest post. I wanted to make a quick blog post to let everyone know why I have slowed down my blogging schedule.

1. I have been spending a ton of time learning affiliate marketing with NeverBlue Ads.
2. I am auditioning for the Top Affiliate Challenge (Detailed post coming soon, for now, vote me a 10!).
3. One of my new startup websites is nearing completion (I will write a detailed post letting all my readers get a first hand look before the site goes public).

I just wanted to make a quick post announcing that I have reached two of my blog’s biggest milestones. My blog is now one of the top 10,000 blogs in the world according to Technorati. Being that there is well over 112,000,000 blogs on Technorati right now, having my blog be in the top 10,000 puts me in the VERY top percentile of blogs.

When I finally got around to getting this awesome theme released back in January, I redid all of my advertising prices as well as the way I did things. Since then, every advertisement link mentioned had the “nofollow” tag added to it, stopping Google from passing authority to the advertisers. I forgot one small detail though, back in my first month I had sold a few text links for $100 and forgot to add the nofollow tags to those, and some kind fellow decided to report my blog.

The purpose of them is so that I can be completely transparent and help you make money blogging. My goal is to show you that there is a lot of money to be made indirectly from your blog, whether it is from career offers, consulting jobs, marketing your other websites through your blog, or using your blog as a launch platform for your startup websites. Something I did not learn until I started blogging for awhile (but I wish I had learned far earlier), is that being an authority about a topic that you enjoy will earn you money from sources outside of your blog. Blogging has helped me network with hundreds of webmasters, and has landed me my highest paying jobs. Before I started blogging, I did lots of search engine optimization, link building, and viral marketing for my own sites, but had no idea that I could do that for other people and make a living from it. If I had not started this blog and shared my secret link building strategies with my readers, my current clients would have never known I was an authority at viral marketing/link building. All in all, lets move onto what everyone is waiting for — my online income report!

While being the head of viral marketing over at Datepad, I like to provide creative ways to build up the community and get the viral aspect in motion. I have had a few very successful contests on this blog, and I thought starting Datepad off with one would be a great way to launch the new corporate blog.
